creating a nagios cluster

We have achieve this here by having a shared external storage unit, and then using LinuxHA with the nagios service and filesystem (on the external disk unit) being defined as HA services. Works well - at the same time we also fail over the NSCA, SNMPtrapdaemon, and mysql database on the same external disk. You can email me if you'd like more details on what is required.

No tools or projects exist yet specifically for setting up nagios
clusters, we're hoping to change that, but your configuration is pretty
generic.
