Are you talking about the Windows event log? There are various plugins
available on Monitoringexchange.org for that.
Or are you talking about a text log file produced by IIS and various
other programs? There may still be plugins available for the specific
log file you want to parse, or you may be able to write your own. You
could write a simple batch file using the findstr command, or you could
install perl or a similar tool for more powerful parsing mechanisms.
