Ah, that has to be "host_name" not "name". The book's example on p. 53 had
that wrong.
If the book is going to publish pseudo-code, they really shouldn't pretend
to provide working examples. Since this is a "print on demand" publisher,
anyone think they're going to fix the book anytime soon? Conceptually a very
good book, they just didn't execute - or check that their code could.
