Adding hosts to new installation

I'm pretty new at this. I just installed Nagios 3.X on Ubuntu 8.10. I have
my first host (Cisco 6509) being polled. The quick start guide worked fine
and I followed the instructions on monitoring routers and switches. However
how do I get Nagios to monitor other switches? Do I just keep adding lines
to the switch.cfg template?
