cgi_base_url - change in latest build?

Hello,
Recently my monitor server crashed and I decided to go with a the latest version of Nagios rather than backups. I did not really notice the automatic update feature - though I may have opted for it anyhow. Suddenly my cgis are not working:
The requested URL /nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi was not found on this server.
I had my cgi.cnf set up like this...
url_html_path=/
Anyone know what it was that changed that I cannot configure this anymore via the cgi.cnf?
I read the update notes and could not tell any mention of the cgi_base_url nor url_html_path
Thanks for any help!
Regards,
Andres
