check_snmp and quoted oid's

Seems this is an old issue fixed in some distros and shod full of
creative quoting suggestions but I can't get it to work.

Anyone know how to pass an oid such as:
REDHAT-CLUSTER-MIB::rhcServiceRunningOnNode."service"
to the check_snmp plugin?
