NSCA - Status is changing after 10 seconds to OK

Were you previously testing something that gave that message? Freshness checks or active checks perhaps? Do you have multiple nagios daemons running at the same time, one running with the old config and one with the new? They'd both write to the same status file so you'd see results like this.
