Nagios Historical Data Question

Hi, I'm new with Nagios. I have questions.

1.) Can Nagios keeps the historical data ? How?

2.) Now,I'm use flat file to keep the data.Can I get the historical data?

3.) Can Nagios work with MySQL? How?
