Script to import Ip's into basic hosts.cfg?

Hi, does anyone know of/have a perl/shell/python script that can take a list of ip addresses from a text file and auto-build a basic hosts.cfg file from it?

Thanks, I searched the exchange, but couldn't find anything that would do this without a lot of fuss...
