Loosing NAGIOS_* env variables in 3.4.1

 - I have some 'home-written' notification scripts launched from NAGIOS ;
now when using
nagios 3.4.1 , all NAGIOS_*  variables are gone. (printenv listing).

    How come ?
    How can I get them back ?
