would think about things like connectivity and bandwidth when making your
decision on how to proceed. How is your network set up at your
company? Do you have one central lcoation which has direct connectivity to
each of your offices? </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

answer your question below regarding a distributed nagios server acting as a
stand alone... are you asking if a nagios server can receive passive checks
along with processing active checks itself? If that is the question, than
yes, it can be done. You could have your one central server (which would
have to be at an office which had connectivity to most of your offices) accept
passive checks from ceratin offices and do active checks at other
offices.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I would like some advice regarding setting up
Nagios for monitoring larger networks.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>We have been running Nagios at our main location
for almost a year. Everyone is quite exited how good it works and the managers
now wants to expand the monitoring to all our locations
worldwide.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Is this possible to do with one Nagios server
?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Is there a way to "mirror" the Nagios servers
?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Can a distributed Nagios server also act as a
stand alone ? ( some checks to be relayed to the mother server and others not
).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Is there any special things to take in
consideration when monitoring larger networks.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>To give you som clues about how many servers we
want to monitor here are som numbers:</FONT></DIV>
