I'm new to nagios but have a question on the hosts.cfg file and the template. So my question is do I need to define each host in this file or can I user the template e.g. sun-servers to get all of the host names and IP addresses. If the first is the case even with the template then how is it really useful it would seem I still need to enter the information into the hosts.cfg file and when you are dealing with 200+ servers it gets fairly big.
