I had issues with Nagios itself and a couple of other programs recognizing that I had OpenSSL installed until I put copies of those libraries in /usr/lib. I know this is an SSL issue, because when I compile using ‘./configure –disable-ssl’ it runs fine.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Searched on the net for ‘fatal: libssl.so.0.9.7: open failed’ and found references to compiling OpenSSL using the ‘shared’ option, have tried recompiling OpenSSL and it fails, and I’m having a difficult time determining why.
