Hi Jon, Please have a look at your contacts.cfg define contact{ contact_name wan alias WAN service_notification_period 24x7 host_notification_period 24x7 service_notification_options w,u,c,r host_notification_options d,u,r --> service_notification_commands notify-by-email --> host_notification_commands host-notify-by-email email wan@localhost pager none } This marked commands exist at my nagios to send mail in case of service / hosts problems. The 2 lines above like *_notification_options controlles on which status notifications will be sent out. (warning, unknown, critical, recovery for services and down, unreachable, recovery for hosts) Perhaps this is your problem?
