Well now infact i am using check_ping only and with that the threshold entry in the command is :
command_line $USER1$/check_ping -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -w 450.0,20% -c 1200.0,95%

Still in host status it shows as following::

XXXX-XXXX DOWN 03-14-2005 00:12:35 0d 3h 36m 48s PING CRITICAL - packet loss = 0%, RTA = 774.70 ms

here the host XXXX-XXXX is getting a loss of 0% and also the rta is only 774.70ms but still it is showing it as critical and also it shows the host down .

What may be the reason,b'cos at this time i have seen that in betn. there is loss to the host(about 5%) but that shuld not trigger this type of response from nagios.

Any suggestions.

Thanks.
