The page comes up but I am having trouble getting the CGIs to work in the web interface. I get the error: ********* Whoops! Error: Could not read object configuration data! Here are some things you should check in order to resolve this error: 1. Verify configuration options using the -v command-line option to check for errors. 2. Check the Nagios log file for messages relating to startup or status data errors. 3. Make sure you've compiled the main program and the CGIs to use the same object data storage options (i.e. default text file or template-based file). Make sure you read the documentation on installing, configuring and running Nagios thoroughly before continuing. If all else fails, try sending a message to one of the mailing lists. More information can be found at <A HREF="http://www.nagios.org">http://www.nagios.org</A>. ******** Here are the details: RHEL 3 httpd-2.0.46-25.ent Nagios 2.03b *default location/options for all installs Cgi.cfg has: main_config_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg *Nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg produces no errors *Nagios log does not contain errors *Http error_log does not contain errors *Http Access_log logs [26/May/2005:09:26:13 -0600] "GET /nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi?hostgroup=all&style= overview HTTP/1.1" 200 1121 "<A HREF="http://seer.corp.es.com/nagios/">http://seer.corp.es.com/nagios/</A>" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" Nagios is running and alerting me for services check_ping and check_telnet. I'll admit that I have not read the entire manual but it seems that by this point in the configuration the CGIs should be working and I am unsure as to how I should proceed. I appreciate any advice.
