check_pgsql plugin. The error is the following:<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>I checked the /usr/local/pgsql/lib directory, and there is a
symbolic link of that name which points to the<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:Arial'>libpq.so.5.0 file. The pgsql directory is owned by root:root
and has 755 permissions on it and its subdirectories.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:Arial'>The version of PostgreSQL is 8.2.0.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>When I compiled the nagios plugins, version 1.4.5, I made
sure to include the –with-pgsql=/usr/local/pgsql syntax<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>option with the configure script. I also made sure that the
user compiling the plugins, root, had the /usr/local/pgsql<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>directory in its default path. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
