I recently got a Dreamhost account (basically, a shared Debian box with a bunch of other ppl) and am hoping that I can install Nagios on it.<br><br>Is there any "gotchas" on installing Nagios on a shared box like this?  I'm assuming that the process of installing it would go (something like) 
<br><br>1. d/l tar file<br><a href="http://www.nagios.org/download/">http://www.nagios.org/download/</a><br><br>2. customize the ./configure script before I run "make install" (to prevent it from running at the system level)
<br><br>Are there any "gotchas" that I need to know about before I do this?  Or, better yet, any HOWTOs that give step-by-step instructions? (I didn't find any googling)<br>
