<div>Hello</div>
<div> </div>
<div><font color="#000000">usually its related to orphaned services. nagios 1.x and 2.x checks hosts in serial processing rather the parallel processing like in services</font></div>
<div><font color="#000000">if you have multiple hosts down the whole schedule thing get messy.</font></div>
<div><font color="#000000">i can recommend 2 things:</font></div>
<div><font color="#000000">1) disable host checks and only rely on service checks.</font></div>
<div><font color="#000000">2) set <strong>retain_state_information</strong> to 0.</font></div>
<div><font color="#000000"></font> </div>
<div><font color="#000000">when you restart nagios when retain_state_information is 0 it will flush the whole checks and restart from scratch.</font></div>
<div>hopefully those problems will go away on nagios 3.x with the new host checks mechanism</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Hope it Helped</div>
