<div>On reading <a href="https://help.ubuntu.com/8.10/serverguide/C/httpd.html">https://help.ubuntu.com/8.10/serverguide/C/httpd.html</a>, I understand that /etc/apache2/<strong>apache2.conf</strong> is the most important file. Though I have installed Apache in <strong>/etc/apache2</strong> location, I do not have apache2.conf file as mentioned in the site.</div>

<div>However, when I stop/start the Apache service using the command '/etc/apache2/bin/apachectl -k stop/start' respectively, and check <a href="http://127.0.0.1/">http://127.0.0.1</a> and ps -A | grep httpd, the results are OK.</div>

<div>However, I am stuck at point 5) Configure the Web Interface, <strong><em>make install-webconf</em></strong>.</div>
