Everything appears to be working fine with one noticeable exception: If I go to the host information page of any host, and select Schedule a check of all services on the host, and subsequently click on commit, I get the following error: Error: Could not open command file '/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd' for update! The permissions on the external command file and/or directory may be incorrect. Read the FAQs on how to setup proper permissions. An error occurred while attempting to commit your command for processing. I went through and verified the following: 1. The nagios user account has the bash shell. 2. The permissions on the nagios directory, and its subdirectories are as follows: user:group ownership = nagios:nagios permissions = rwxrwxrwx What did I miss here, and what can I do to correct it?
