Dear, I have a Nagios monitoring server on e Debian box and I need to send SMS alerts through a GSM Gateway (Portech MV-372). I don't know if it's possible because all the information I saw was about sending SMS alerts via a GSM modem with Serial/USB interface. In this last case it's possible to use a SMS gateway like "smstools", but in my case where I have a GSM gateway with LAN connectivity I don't know. Also I read that the SMS sending is possible using a local GSM modem connection, and not a remote LAN GSM modem connection. Can you add about my scenario ??? Is it possible to send SMS using Nagios, a sms local daemon and a LAN GSM gateway ??? Or do I have to buy a GSM modem with serial or USB connection ??? Really thanks Alejandro
