<p class=MsoNormal>I’ve got a system that accepts and processes nsca
packets from a number of collectors successfully.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Everything is using nsca-2.7.2.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>I added a new collector recently and it’s not able to
get data into the central nagios system via nsca.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>I recompiled the send_nsca client with the DEBUG flag enabled
and get this output, which looks good:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Connected okay...<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Got init packet from server<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Initialized encryption routines<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Done sending data<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>1 data packet(s) sent to host successfully.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Cleaned up encryption routines<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>On the central server, the xinetd logs look like the packets
are being accepted:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>10/10/13@11:01:29: START: nsca from=<not working collector

<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>But then nothing seems to show up the nsca log. All the
other collector’s data logs in the nsca log very nicely.<o:p></o:p></p>
