Hi after going through the features, flexibility and active community support, I have implemented mod_gearman on my production implementation. My implementation is large scale and its working very fine with distributing and fail-over of checks between two servers. <br>

You may want to have a look at Mod-Gearman in the meantime:<br>

It is based on parts of DNX and activly developed and maintained.<br>
