I don't know that this is it, but you can only acknowledge something that is in a hard critical state. That is, it has to have hit the threshold of failures before it is considered in a hard state. The service details should tell you if it is, but I've had times where I've thought the same thing only to realize that the service hadn't gotten all the way to a hard state just yet.<br>
