Plugins working sporatically

Hey all... a repost from a few days ago... still haven't gotten anywhere:

I've just attempted to upgrade from Netsaint to the new Nagios system. I 
like many of the changes I've read about.

Anyway, I'm having a very strange problem. Many of my service checks are 
reporting

(Return code of 127 is out of bounds - plugin may be missing)

BUT, for example, my check_httpd, which is reporting that for MOST of 
the times it's called, in a few isntances it's working fine.

Additionally my PING service is reporting that error just a few times, 
but most of the time is reporting 'was not set'.

So... I'm at a loss here. I ran Netsaint for a while and never ran into 
these problems. Any help would be appreciated.
