Dear Sir,
Are the host notifications set as you expect in the host definition and
template ?
Here is an example
define host{
name generic-host ; The name of
this host template - referenced in other host definitions, used for
template recursion/resolution
notifications_enabled 1 ; Host notifications are
enabled
.. yada ..
max_check_attempts 10
notification_interval 120
notification_period 24x7
notification_options d,u,r
register 0 ; DONT REGISTER THIS
DEFINITION - ITS NOT A REAL HOST, JUST A TEMPLATE!
}
ie notfify on downs and unreachables (as well as recovery).
Yours sincerely.

continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a
manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes
me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know
for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...'
