problem with cgi authentication

I am having the same problem that most of the users are facing regarding the permission access to the cgi.

i have installed the nagios in the usr/local/nagios and configures all the configuration files. my system runs on on only one host and have 3 services

the data is seen in the status.log file but to view it in the web frontend I get the errors that 

it appears as though that u have not permissions............


if  you think this is an error you check the http server configuration for accessing these CGI ............
 

i tried with setting the authorisation required field in cgi.cfg to 0 but the problem exists.

i read the archive but i didnot get the solution
