check_ldap returns (No output)!

I've configured a LDAP Service that use the chek_ldap plugin (whith all parameters specified)
but Nagios returns a critical alarm whith (No output!) as status information

if I run the check_ldap plugin from the command line it works fine
(LDAP ok - 0 seconds response time)
and $?=0

 grep  "No output" nagios.log
[1075289517] SERVICE ALERT: idol1;LDAP;CRITICAL;SOFT;1;(No output!)
[1075289578] SERVICE ALERT: idol1;LDAP;CRITICAL;SOFT;2;(No output!)
[1075289637] SERVICE ALERT: idol1;LDAP;CRITICAL;HARD;3;(No output!)


grep  "No output" status.log
[1075294432] SERVICE;idol1;LDAP;CRITICAL;3/3;HARD;1075294361;1075294661;ACTIVE;1;1;1;1075289637;0;CRITICAL;120;0;0;3955;1075289637;1;1;0;0;1;0;0.00;0;1;1;1;(No output!)


any ideas?
