libpng error?

Hey guys -
	I needed to restore the box that Netsaint is running on.
Everything went well (nice to be able to just tar up /usr/local/netsaint
and have everything remain intact..whew) except the statusmap.cgi isn't
working anymore.

Here's the error in error_log:

of script headers: /usr/local/netsaint/sbin/statusmap.cgi
statusmap.cgi: error while loading shared libraries: libpng.so.2: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

Now, I installed libpng-1.2.5 before I fired Netsaint back up. Here's
what's in /usr/local/lib:

Can I just make a symlink to libpng.so.3.1.2.5 and call it libpng.so.2 or
will that fail miserably?

Also, what's the status on the Nagios plugins? The sourceforge page says
that they're still in beta. Is there an estimated "release date" for the
final? I'd hate to move from Netsaint to Nagios, only to have the final
plugins come out 2 days later. :)
