Jeff --
The rrd file, only one service is being checked at this point, is being updated.
The last time stamp for the file was today at 16:10 EST.
The apan debug files have not had any updates since yesterday afternoon. I don't
think there is much to look at in them for the present
situation.
I checked the checkcommand syntax, and I modified mine where $SERVICEDESC$ was
changed to "$SERVICEDESC$". Also, the check_command syntax
in the services.cfg file for me is apan-sql as opposed to apan.
I made the rrd files via the apanconf-sql utility. When I ran the utility I ran
it as the nagios user.

well, THAT is way weird. I put spaces in my commands normally when I go
in from the command line. Although, I don't use -p, I use
--password=<pwd> I bet there's a bug with a space after -p that I
forgot about at some point and hence ignore that way of doing it :)

oh, good :)

Let's see.
Are your rrd files getting updated at all? (either data-wise or
time-stamp-wise)
Have you looked at your apan debug files?
What does your apan checkcommand look like?
mine is:
command_line /usr/local/nagios/apan-sql/apan-sql.sh $ARG1$ $HOSTNAME$
"$SERVICEDESC$" $TIMET$ $ARG2$ $ARG3$
and is called in services.cfg like:
check_command apan!load!3!5
How did you make your rrd files?
