I finally got Apan 2.1 to work with our Nagios 1.2 system. (HOORAY!!!!). I
am able to track disk usage on both our Windows and Unix systems.
The question have concerns the syntax for checking disk usage on UNIX
systems. I am partial to the way the used and free space is displayed
on the Windows systems, and I want to reproduce it on their UNIX
counterparts. Is the syntax for the UNIX systems inrrd and apan.cfg files
similar to that of Windows, or do I need to input something else?
AND.........
I am trying to monitor several filesystems on a UNIX box and I ran into the
following problem. If I look at all the filesystems under one graph, I am able
to get data to show on the graph. However, if I try to look at the filesystems
under separate graphs, ie: /www as one rrd file, / as another file, and /boot
as a third file, the graphs do not show up at all. I am able to monitor
separate filesystems with separate rrd files with the Windows systems. The
version of Apan that I am using is 2.1, while the version of rrdtool is 1.0.46,
and the version of the Nagios-statd program is 3.09. Has anyone had a similar
problem and solution to it? Thanks.
